1.1  What is the difference between the Lite and Pro version?

1.2  My activation data of version 2.X or 3.X does not work in version 4.X. Why?

Upgrade from version 2.X or 3.X to version 4.X is not free.
You need to purchase an upgrade license to use version 4.X
Upgrade licenses are offered at discounted prices in the Upgrade Section.
To access the upgrade section you need your personal upgrade code.

All owners of SizeExplorer 2.X or 3.X should have received an email with
their personal upgrade code.

If you don't have received your Personal Upgrade Code please request one by sending
us an email with all your personal information (email used at purchase, current email,
your name, your postal address, your license key, etc.). Send your
request at support@sizeexplorer.com.

2.1  Can I buy SizeExplorer with a purchase order?

Yes. Company can use a purchase order to buy SizeExplorer with ShareIt.

2.2  Can I use SizeExplorer on more than one computer?

No. You need a license key for each desktop computer on which SizeExplorer
is installed. For terminal server, you need a license key for each user.

However you may transfer SizeExplorer to another computer up to a maximum
of 3 times per year.

3.1  Why the program need to explore a drive or folder before I can get info on it?

SizeExplorer needs to know all the files on the drive or folder to calculate
the amount of space taken by each folder and to collect specific information.

SizeExplorer does not automatically explore a drive or a folder when you select it
to let you choose what you want to explore and thus let you choose what you want
to be included in reports. This also save you a lot of time by exploring only what
you need to explore.

3.2  Can I sort the data by name, size, date, etc.?

Yes. Just click on the column header of your choice once or twice.

3.3  Dates of folders are not the same than the one in Windows Explorer. Why?

By default, SizeExplorer show calculated dates in listviews for folders.

Calculated dates for folders correspond to the date of the file with the most recent
date within that folder or its subfolder.

If you prefer to see the real dates for folders just select real date columns in
Customize Columns screen.

For files, real dates and calculated dates are the same.
